Have you noticed your feline family member avoiding eye contact, hiding, poor appetite, not wanting to be pet or held, or suddenly has become aggressive? These are all signs your cat is suffering from anxiety.

Cats are sensitive to change, which is an anxiety trigger. Something as simple as a change in your daily routine (leaving for work early or coming home late) can cause stress for your cat, which can turn into anxiety.

If you recently brought a new baby home or a new pet, these things could also cause anxiety in your cat. Once your cat realizes they will still be getting the attention, they may settle down and accept the change quicker than you might expect.

Things as simple as rearranging your furniture can cause your cat to become anxious. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t change anything in your home; it means your cat needs to have a few places that are rarely changed where they can feel comfortable and safe.

Cat’s don’t like a lot of noise and activity, especially as they get older. Cats feel safe in high places if you can make a place on the top of a bookcase or something of that nature in a quiet room and encourage your cat to “hang out” where they may start to relax and return to normal sooner.

Cats are highly intelligent and Intune to their surroundings and their people. Buying your cat a cat bed can be of great help in reducing your cat’s anxiety. The bed provides your cat with something that is just theirs. It will help them feel secure, comfortable, and loved.

Once your cat starts to return to its non-anxious state, you may still notice some changes in its behavior. It takes time for them to return to their normal behavior.

You may need to accommodate your cat by feeding them later when the house is quiet or moving their water, food, and litter box to a quieter area in the home where they do not have to enter the noisiest and most active part of the house at any time to get to them.

Yes, change does cause anxiety in cats. However, if you move everything at once and carry your cat to the new location a few times a day, they will get used to the new location and feel safe in your arms because they trust you.

If your cat does not improve at all, gets worse, or only shows a slight improvement, a trip to the vet can be helpful. Your cat may need medication to control its anxiety. It’s not uncommon for a cat to be on anxiety medication. It also helps prevent depression which can lead to physical health problems for your cat. Your vet will also be able to provide advice on other options for helping your feline family member overcome their anxiety.

The mountain gorillas line in the mountain as their name suggests, which has an elevation of almost 13000 feet. They are the ones with thickest fur when compared to that of the other apes of this great stature. The thick fur protects them from the extreme freezing temperature, which sometimes goes down below the freezing point.

They are now moving further up into the mountains all due to the humans who are infiltrating into the territory of the gorillas. This is making the conditions even more dreadful for the gorillas and they are forced to face even the deadliest of situations out there.

On the other hand there is African Leopards who are facing the status of vulnerable due to the fact that they are also suffering from the loss of their natural habitat and fragmentation. They are safe only within the protected areas and outside that space; they are facing challenges to survive.

In fact their number is on a decrease mode for a long period of time. The color of the coat of the leopard differs a lot and that is due to the location as well as the habitat they are in. So, you will find pale yellow to gold or even tawny color coats of African leopard.

Male leopards are quite large in size as compared to that of the female leopards and the male weighs around 60 kg compared to that of the female leopard, which weighs only a maximum of 40 kg. The physical appearance of the African leopard differs a lot depending on where they are located and not just the color, in fact their weight also differs a lot in this scenario.

Mountain Gorillas vs African Leopard – the face-off

You will now find only about 700 mountain gorillas left on the face of the earth. Amongst these 700, around 350 live in the forest in Central Africa. There have been many initiatives taken for the conservation of mountain gorillas, but as humans are approaching their natural habitat, they are becoming homeless more and more.

Even poaching is there, which is not helping the cause of conservation at all. These gorillas can easily climb trees, but they prefer to remain on the ground with their community of 30 individuals. One adult old male leads the troop and they are also called by the name of silverback because of the hint of silver on their otherwise black fur.

The African Leopards are scattered all throughout the African continent. They eat just about anything starting from small mammals to different kinds of antelopes. They also feed on snakes, goat, sheep, rodents, birds, small ball pythons etc. During the daytime they rest and at the break of the twilight they start looking for their prey.

If these two strong contenders come face to face with each other, then most likely the Mountain Gorilla will win because of its huge size. It has been seen that during a duel between the Mountain Gorillas and the African Leopard, the latter had to bite the dust in front of the strength of the huge Mountain Gorilla.

When the leopard attacked the mountain gorilla from the back, it was able to throw off the leopard quite easily from its shoulder, but the African leopard that is determined to fight back, jumped onto the back of the mountain gorilla and started biting him on his back.

The angry mountain gorilla didn’t take it too well and it munched on the shoulder of the ape. This time around the mountain gorilla throws his hand on the back of the leopard, which breaks the spine of the latter, thus killing her and that is the end of the battle.

Do you wish to spend quality time in the lap of nature? You would look forward to spending a few hours or rather a couple of days at the Yellowstone National Park. The place is most popular with the people for its natural beauty and yellowstone animals. For people having an affinity to nature and animals, Yellowstone National Park is the place to be.

It would be a great experience for the entire family. However, when you visit the park, you need to make some arrangements. It would be in your best interest that you should not intervene with nature. It implies that you should be wary of destroying the natural home of Yellowstone wildlife.

Yellowstone wildlife is meant to be enjoyed, photographed, but not to be meddled with. You should not go too near to the wildlife for your safety. It would be pertinent that you should look forward to gaining knowledge about the dangerous animals of the park. It would help you stay safe and secure while enjoying the experience in the best possible manner.

Among the several animals that you come across ranging from Bighorn Sheep, Bobcats, Coyotes, Canada Lynx, Elk, Moose, Bears, American Bison, Mountain Goats, Mountain Lions, Gray Fox, Red Fox and more, you should be wary of a few of the aforementioned species. The Bison may be harmful when you get too close to them. There have been reported injuries caused to the visitors when they get too close to the Yellowstone wildlife.

Not all people may b carrying cameras for clicking wildlife photographs while venturing the park. However, they have their cell phones with them, but the short focal length of the mobile phone camera and an eagerness to upload a clear and close picture of the wildlife on social media sites make people forget about getting close to the wildlife. It results in serious injuries to visitors. Therefore, it would be pertinent that you should get proper education and gather adequate knowledge about Yellowstone wildlife before venturing the park.
