Princess is a 2 year old small dark brown female Bully Breed. Due to her size she could quite possibly be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. She was found in the city and had just weaned a litter of puppies in April and is now spayed and up-to-date on shots.
Princess is very loving and loyal. She can be particular about her doggie friends, so a single dog household or with a calm, social male dog may be best for her. Princess does not get along with kitties, so a home without any is suggested.
Princess requires a strong and stable pack leader. She is the most intelligent dog I have fostered and she loves children!

Meet Ladybird, she is approx 3-4 years old, is spayed and on heartworm prev and in good health
We don't know if the mega-e is congenital, she was found by the side of the road. She did really well when she was boarded, and at my house, but she spent a lot of time standing up on the gate. The regurgitating seemed to start after I placed her in a home, the new owner took her to the vet & then felt she couldn't care for her. She was diagnosed just by symptoms & also the success of feeding her in an upright position, followed by keeping her upright until she stops "burping' which means the food has moved into her stomach. I soak dog chow & mash it w/ a potato masher. She does not regurgitate when fed this way. I only have time to feed her twice a day when I'm working, 3-4 times daily would be better. She is so sweet we just couldn't give up on her. She loves to cuddle & is great with kids & other dogs & is very playful. I rarely see her drink but she seems to keep water down OK. She weighs about 45 lbs, she needs to gain at least 5 more.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING! Ladybird is located in Georgia
If anyone would consider adopting and opening their heart and home to Ladybird, please Julie Sweat con.troll@yahoo.com

Kili is a seven year old mixed breed with a big heart. As a puppy, she and her litter mate were abandoned in an apartment building. That event had a lasting impression on her. Kili, while very loving, developed fear aggression. A few weeks ago Kili bit our two year old son because she was frightened. To avoid the risk of something similar happening again, we are keeping Kili separated from the family with barriers when our son is home and awake. We have discussed the situation and made the difficult decision that Kili can no longer stay with us. This leaves us with two options: try to find her a “perfect home” or put her down. While we would be saddened to see her leave our home for a new one, the alternative is simply heart breaking.
Kili loves exercise, companionship and affection. We would like to find her a home with someone who has experience working with fear aggressive dogs, has no children and few visitors. She needs someone who can help ease her out of her fear, someone who can give her plenty of love, attention and training.
Kili has attended and graduated from Doggie Manners 1 class, taught by Andrea DiMaio of Dog Speak. We are currently working with Andrea to help reduce Kili’s and our stress over the present situation. Also, Andrea has graciously offered to help integrate Kili into her new home.
Kili knows some hand cues, loves to jump into your arms, enjoys going to the beach, hiking and going for walks. She loves to be pet and to give “kisses.” Kili is a very intelligent dog and gets great pleasure from learning new tricks.
Despite her fearful temperament, once Kili loves you it is forever. Please contact Dreux or I if you or someone you know might be interested in giving our sweet girl a new home.
Thank you,
Ashley Dominick

I need a home!
My name is Carly and I am a 9 year old female mixed breed dog (part Sheltie, Beagle and Border Collie). I need a new home without young children or other dogs as they make me feel uneasy.
I am in good health, 31 pounds, spayed, up to date on shots including flea meds, heartworm meds, etc.. I love being outside, running and going for walks.
Unfortunately my human kids have asthma and are allergic to me, so I need to find a new home. I have been in my current home for 9 years as they adopted me from an animal shelter when I was only 9 months old.
I am truly a wonderful dog and still young at heart.
For more information on me, you can call Sally at (716) 566-2733
Hi! My name is Berra.
I am a 6 year old female Boxer, American Bulldog mix. I weigh about 75 pounds. I would love to find a home where I can run and swim ( I love to swim) and people will love me. I have lived in a wonderful home since I was a puppy. But, this new baby arrived and now I do not get enough exercise and attention.
I am spayed and am up to date on my shots.
I have lived with another dog all my life and we do get along. I have never lived with a cat. I would need to meet any 4-legged and 2-legged people I might be living with.
Please call 585-750-2557
Sampson lived the last 6 yrs of his life on a chain--for the last year he had an eye infection which ultimately resulted in the loss of vision and removal of the eye. He's been rescued but is living in a boarding kennel and no one has inquired about him! I live in a rural area and there's not much activity where dog adoptions are concerned. He desperately needs a family to love and to learn from. He is 7 yrs old, around 75 lbs, neutered and utd, great with people and other dogs and is very active--he will probably settle down quite a bit once he's inside for awhile. He previously spent time inside in the coldest weather and didn't potty in the house so he probably wouldn't be difficult to house train. He has some food aggression and isn't good with cats or very small dogs (is okay with my 18 lb jrt).
Can you help this boy find his furever home, foster home or a rescue in a more active area? He's been in boarding almost 7 months, way too long--Sampson is in Dunkirk NY and is willing to travel a couple hours to get the right place but someone must give him a chance. If you know of anyone who may be interested please pass this along so we can help this sweet deserving boy find love.

Bailey is an 11-month-old retriever/pit mix who is looking for a new home. We’ve had her since she was 6-weeks-old, when she was turned over at a shelter where I volunteered. We originally fostered her, and then decided to keep her.
Why do we need to re-home her?
•
We have three dogs, and over the last 4 or 5 months, Bailey and our very bossy Border collie have become increasingly incompatible. It breaks our heart, but for the best interests of both dogs, Bailey needs to be re-homed.
What makes her such a great dog?
•
She’s a great companion, snuggly, cuddly, loving, sleeps in the bed with her people
•
Takes to training very quickly, knows her basic commands, and is currently working with a trainer
•
Walks nicely on her leash and loves to go out for romps
•
Loves to ride in the car
•
Housebroken
•
Up to date on vaccinations
•
Spayed
•
Weighs about 38# and isn’t expected to get much bigger
The ideal home for Bailey:
•
A calm home where she would be the only dog; she does live with our cat so cats would be at your discretion
•
New family must be committed to continuing her formal training
•
Must have the patience to work with her to make the adjustment to her new home
For more information contact Joanne Brokaw 585-734-2209 or Joanne@joannebrokaw.com. You can see more photos of Bailey at www.NotesFromTheFunnyFarm.com.
Parker is a 6-year-old Shepherd-mix, about 60 pounds and medium-large size. He is house-trained, but does not like being in a crate. He is very friendly and food motivated. He will walk long distances and even jog alongside you. He needs exercise and attention. He is easy to train as he is food motivated and he hardly barks. He does a have a little separation anxiety, so when leaving him home alone, he needs a dog pen or a garage/basement. Currently, when we leave him home alone, I leave all his toys out and I leave out empty plastic bottles for him to "get into". He likes empty water or soda bottles. He leaves everything else alone. He loves people and other dogs. He won't hurt smaller animals, but he will chase them. He chased our cat, but never hurt him.

Rileigh is a 4-year-old Staffie. She is not tall, but she is solid, so she is about 50 pounds. She is a pretty brindle color and has un-cropped ears & tail. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She is also easy to train as she is food motivated. She would do best in an only dog home with no children. She has never hurt our children or Parker, but she is an alpha-female. She was very protective of me during my pregnancy and tries to "help" me with the Twins by trying to lick them when they cry. :) She has a lot of energy and loves to play, but she also loves to cuddle, especially under a blanket when it is bed time. She likes walks, but she doesn't have the same endurance that Parker does - she can do a normal size walk, but she doesn't like to go jogging.

Susie was brought to Angel Ridge when her owner developed a heart condition. She is a well-mannered, sweet and affectionate, large german shepherd mix. It is estimated that she is around 8 years old and spayed. Her coat, figure, and overall energy level is that of a middle-aged dog. She can walk miles but is not going to drive you crazy for exercise and activity like a younger dog would. Susie has been paired with many companion dogs in the same kennel over the last year and has been very agreeable to her kennel-mates, often younger, smaller dogs. Ovet the summer, she was unfortunately paired up with a young, frustrated, female, lab mix that attacked Susie and hurt her substantially so that she required stitches and recovery time. In a temporary foster home, she is now fully recovered and in better shape than when she was biding her time in the kennels.
Susie does have a keen eye for the cats that are running around and she gives every indication that she would like to eat one if given the chance. But with people and even little kids, she is gentle, calm and loves the attention. Although she is quite large and no doubt tips the scales at over 100 lbs., she is not too bad on leash. She can throw her weight around, but only pulls when she finds a reason (like a cat).
Susie knows basic commands and in general would be labelled a well-mannered dog.She is also housebroken Susie can fit into almost any family.

Woody is a 1 year old boxer/lab mix. He is on the smaller side and weighs about 50lbs or so, although his accident has made him loose some muscle tone. He is very energetic and still full of life and hope. He was raised with 4 small children and has always been very good with them. He also does very well with other dogs and cats. He moves around in a cart/wheelchair. He must be supervised when in the cart otherwise he can hurt himself more. He can flip himself or get stuck or tangled in something. He does very well in the cart and has adjusted fine. He can wag his tail at times and there is some movement in his hind legs, but not enough to support him. He has bowel control, but his bladder needs to be expressed a few times a day. When he is not in the cart he needs to be in a safe place or a drag bag can be used so he does not hurt his lower body. He would also love a fenced yard so he can roam without a chain. Other than his disability he is a happy and healthy dog. Any inquiries please email linab31084@yahoo.com or call 585-437-2445. Thank you.....

Rock is a 2yr old male Pitt bull. House trained and knows a lot of commands. Rock is very sweet, kind and happy. He is very loving with adults and children. He has no food aggression and is always willing to do a trick for a treat. Rock loves to take long walks and play catch with a ball. He is a awesome Pitt that is trained and ready for his new family to find him and love.

Dodger is an extremely loving and loyal dog. He is a shepherd mix. We are getting varying opinions from animal experts and lovers as to what he is mixed with, so I don't know the answer to that. My best guess is that he has some Dutch shepherd in him. He weighs 42 pounds, and the vet said that he is full grown. He is approximately 18 months old. He knows commands like "sit," "stay," "come," "no," etc.
He is neutered, and he has all of his shots. We can provide a list from the vet for this.
He's very obedient at meal and sleep times. We can easily leave food out on the stove/table while we are eating, and he will not jump on it. He sleeps through the night with us. Even when Eric gets up first, he will come back and sleep with me. He wakes up when we do, but sleeps until that point.
He loves attention and affection, and he warms up to people very quickly. He barks when someone comes around the house, but does not bite and is the biggest sweetheart once he gets to know you. He loves people.
He is also very loyal. My Mom fell the other day (she is fine), and he let out a little cry and immediately came over to help. Eric dropped something on his (Eric's) foot the other day, and as soon as he said "Ow!" Dodger's ears perked up and he made sure that Eric was ok.
He needs a bit of training with being fully housebroken and with walking, as he does pull a bit. We are still working on walking, but we have progressed. We are beginning the crate training process. He is way above the housebreaking level of a puppy, but, as I mentioned, he needs some training here.
We do not know how he is around children, as we do not have any. However, he does bark at them when we are outside. He barks at cats and other dogs, so he may be best as either the only pet in the home, separated from other pets, or with someone willing to do training in this area.
We have supplies to provide: food, bowls, toys, bed, leash, harness, collar, crate, treats, bowl mat, and a doggie "litter box."

Please welcome DITR's newest furbaby, Shemp. Shemp is approximately 4 years old and is a Dutch Shepherd Mix. Shemp's daddy passed away in September, and his life has drastically changed. Shemp is approximately 55 pounds and very energetic. He likes to go for walks and loves to run around the yard in the snow. He attends Daycare at Purrfect Paws Animal Behavior Center and also takes a nosework class that is in its third level. Shemp needs someone who can give him room to exercise and spend time with him as he is very people oriented and loyal to his owner(s). He knows some obedience commands such has sit, stay, stop, and off. He is also house broken and crate trained. He has not had exposure to young children to be able to determine if that type of home would be suitable and he gets along with some dogs but not all dogs. He likes to play chase and ball but is very strong and needs help settling due to his energy level, but we are working on that. Shemp is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. If interested in adopting Shemp, please contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com, or fill out an adoption application at www.diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.com.

Jake is a beagle mix. I originally got him when he was 2 yrs old. His papers say he was born in 1997. Jake is neutered and up to date with rabies shots. Jake is house and cage trained.
Jake likes to be around people and doesn't like to be alone. He has grown up around children and have never had an issue with that. He hasn't been around other animals so not sure how he would be.
Jake has some cysts on his stomach. The vet says they are okay left alone. He also has some arthritis in his hind legs, however, he still will run around the house.
